As our system
is very dependent on Rare-Earth metals & compounds, we are now being
held up by the recent move by the Chinese Government to limit (and
dramatically overprice) Rare Earth elements & Compounds. China has
been the only source for these materials for many years, although they are
abundant in the USA but no longer mined or produced. This move by the
Chinese has made our system that we were going to retail for $10,000, now
cost us over $45,000 just for materials. Obviously at these prices this is
no longer a viable product as far as sales go, so the Chinese political
situation must change, or we take many steps back and begin looking for
replacement materials - which may take years - and may not even be
possible.
We are looking into all possibilities as well as manufacturing in China
(which would be a last resort). Hopefully the political situation will
change so we can continue to manufacture here in the USA & use the
storage material we have worked for years to develop.

To Hydrogen!
American Hydrogen Energy's Hydrogen Fuel System Kit converts your existing Gasoline
powered vehicle to run on pure Hydrogen. Your vehicle will use no
Gasoline at all.
The Hydrogen gas is safely stored in a solid form (advanced metal
hydride) and is in fact safer in a collision than your Gasoline
tank. Unlike Gasoline, Hydrogen stored in Hydride form cannot
explode, only smolder like a cigarette even in the biggest
collision or fire.
The only exhaust you get from burning Hydrogen as a fuel is water
vapor (steam), with very small amounts of nitrogen oxides. It's

The AHE Hydrogen Conversion System consists of a conversion kit for your vehicle, a home
Hydrogen Generation Station (which manufactures the
Hydrogen fuel), and a Power System (Solar Array, Wind Turbine, or
optional AP System)
that provides the power to run the Hydrogen Generator. The Hydrogen gas is safely stored
in a our proprietary advanced Metal Hydride material within the 4 tanks in your vehicle.
The 4 tanks in the vehicle store about 15Kg of Hydrogen (over
160,000 liters). Stored as a compressed gas, this amount of
Hydrogen would be impossible to carry in your vehicle. Metal
Hydrides allow storage densities greater than that of liquid
Hydrogen to be attained, allowing a lot of gas to be stored in a
small space.
Simply put, you never buy or use Gasoline again.
Our target price for the complete system (which includes the home
Hydrogen Generator, associated power unit,
and vehicle conversion kit is in the $10,000 range.
Since there are no major changes made to your engine, you can
still run your vehicle on Gasoline at any time if you wish to.
Complete kits will be available for various late-model cars &
trucks as well as individual system components for those who would
like to adapt the kit to other engines. The current system will not work with Diesel powered
vehicles.
To use the conversion kit, your vehicle must be a late model, fuel
injected vehicle that has an existing on-board computer and mass
air flow sensor. If the vehicle does not have an existing
all-stainless steel exhaust system, you will have to have one
installed. Many newer vehicles already come with stainless steel
exhaust systems as they require no maintenance for the life of the
vehicle and are corrosion free. The conversion kit adds another
on-board computer the the vehicle as well as an exhaust gas
analyzer that continuously monitors the exhaust gasses and adjusts
the Hydrogen flow/air mixture (along with engine timing) for a
perfect combustion.
